Dudebox R2-D2 STOLEN
Posted by Dustin on October 19, 2012 at 11:43 PM CST:

Here's a snippet from the newsletter they sent out to fans.

"Thank you for visiting us at our New York Comic Con booth this weekend.

We are sending you this email as a way of saying thank you for entering our contest to win the R2D2 figure. However, we are sorry to announce this truly rare piece of Star Wars memorabilia was stolen from our booth. This happened yesterday evening sometime around 6:30PM. New York Comic Con Security and the NYPD have been informed.

If you are able to attend New York Comic Con again today we would love for you to drop by the booth and as a means of apology we will give you a free poster!

Just tell us you received our email and that you too are mourning the loss of our R2D2.

If you can please spread the word of the stolen R2D2 across Twitter and Facebook we would really appreciate it. Also if you see him for offer, sale or trade at the Con or at any other convention you might attend please do inform us or the NYPD. If we recover him we will of course complete the contest to select one lucky winner who will receive him.

If you use Twitter please head to @hellodudebox and RT the tweet about the stolen R2 unit. We would be so happy to get him back!

many thanks
The DUDEBOX team"
