Long overdue, here are images of the "HOF" or "Hall of Fame" R2-D2. The official title for this figure was "Tatooine Mission". The figure is based on the Naboo Escape R2-D2 figure from the 2000 Power of the Jedi line. New packaging, new paint job, and a worthless figure stand equals instant hit for Hasbro. This Hall of Fame line was a transitional wave or two spanning between the end of the "Saga" period and into the Clone Wars era. The variation for this figure is that it was packaged with both clear and black stands. I've got carded images coming soon that will show this.
