Brandon from CommTechGuide.com hooks us up again with another entry from his collection. This time we've got a carded prototype R2-D2 from Episode One. Check out what the CommTech chips were going to look like if the line continued. It is very interesting to see that this much time was spent on development of a second generation of CommTech technology, only to have it never produced.
