I was fortunate enough to be at a local OSWCC meeting years ago when two well known collectors stopped by with the actual dies (a specialized tool used in manufacturing industries to cut or shape material using a press) used to stamp the vintage coins from Kenner. Along with several dies was a bag of loose coins which included this silver version of the DROIDS R2-D2 coin. The final version that shipped to retail was gold.
